Training/Seminar Title:
Transform your passion into workshops! - Opportunity for young migrants and refugees
Training/Seminar description:

In April 2020, we kicked-off with the Erasmus+ funded project Youth Volunteer Educators e-learning Program (e-VELP). We are a consortium of 5 European partners made by TeachSurfing (Germany, coordinator), Vilnius University (Lithuania), CSI Centre for Social Innovation Ltd (Cyprus), Asociatia GEYC (Romania), and CESIE (Italy).

The project’s idea originated from considerable percentage of young people with migrant/refugee background who are highly motivated but lack the required skills to access the labour market and fully participate in social life. Its aim is to create and expand an active community of passionate youth Volunteer Educators (VEs), Volunteer Educator Trainers (VE-Trainers), and Host Organisations by the end of 2021.

With these premises in mind, we have worked over the past year to build an online course, targeting young migrants and refugees between 20 and 30 years old. We want to give you the tools to become “Volunteer Educators” (VEs) and be trained in transforming your knowledge, skills and culture into workshops for your community!

The Volunteer Educators program consists of 3 parts:
(1) Completing 40 hours online training including online course and practical activities in English. (November 2021).
(2) Participating in 5 online group coaching, networking and training sessions in English (November 2021).
(3) Offering your own workshop for a local host organisation (December 2021-March 2022).

Call for applicants are now open! Apply by the 15th October 2021 to participate in our training courses, and learn how to offer your own workshops:
