The ‘Emphasys Centre’ operates in the last 21 years as an Education, ICT Training and Research Centre. It is accredited by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture as an Educational Centre specialising in the ICT field. The ‘Emphasys Centre’ offers specialized courses for professional development (for educators in Cyprus and in Europe), validated courses for the acquisition of professional qualifications and examinable courses for students aiming to enter higher education institutions (universities) in the UK, Greece and Cyprus (GCE A’ Level Computer Science, Pagkypries). The ‘Emphasys Centre’ offers also coding and robotics classes for young people interested to acquire high level of digital competences. As part of the educational services provided, the ‘Emphasys Centre’ offers Career Guidance, Counselling and Mentoring to students and young people.
The ‘Research Centre’ is actively involved in the preparation and submission of research proposals, as well as in the coordination and implementation of European projects mainly under the Erasmus+ Programme in all sectors and actions: Education (School, Adult and Higher Education), VET and Youth. It has an extensive network of partners across Europe working towards the development and implementation of various projects that aim to promote the targets set in ET2020.
The Πολυδύναμο Δημοτικό Κέντρο Λευκωσίας Official and Nicosia Municipality within the framework of the project KEEAED (Information and Training Center of Employment and Entrepreneurial Activity) in collaboration with Emphasys Centre ICT Training, Education, Research and Software Development Centre are organising a series of FREE COMPUTER, EMPLOYABILITY & CREATIVITY WORKSHOPS running on ‘Digital Skills for Work" every Thursday from 17:00-19:00 at KEEAED: Trikoupi 131, 1016 Nicosia.
These workshops are FREE of charge to support migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. The aim is to improve their digital skills and knowledge as well as help them develop their employability skills.
The workshops will take place from the 11th of May until the 13th of July 2023.
