Description: 

Hello! We are a team of four women who have created a small project for the refugee community taking place in Larnaca, Cyprus this summer. 

The details:

  1. The project: Queen Bees is a program for unaccompanied refugee minor girls who will receive training in Beekeeping and other life skills sessions. 
  2. Dates : July 17-21 and July 24-28. (10 days total)
  3. Hours: 3-8pm everyday (50 hours total)
  4. Pay : €10-12 per hour 
  5. Location: The project will take place in Larnaca and the surrounding mountain villages. If you are located in or near Larnaca we can provide travel.
  6. Commitment: We prefer translators who can commit for the entire period - however, we can try to be flexible.

Required Qualifications/Skills: 

We are looking for women translators, from English to Somali and English to French.

Your skills:

  • You are comfortable changing between both English and the other language at a medium/fast pace.
  • You are willing and comfortable to sometimes participate in short activities involving bees.
  • You are passionate about education and excited to learn and help others learn about new topics.
  • Previous experience as a translator is very welcome, but not necessary.
