PRIVACY POLICY

 

1.    COLLECTION AND FURTHER PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA 

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person;

For the operation of the HelpRefugeesWork platform, the following data may be collected:

  1. CANDIDATES

Once a Candidate completes the registration process, the next step is to create his/her respective profile by entering the required information. The template contains fields that are mandatory and others that are optional. In addition to the general tick box indicating approval of the Terms of Use, the platform will also clearly indicate the different data fields, namely, what is collected for the purpose of the CV and what is collected for verification purposes, both mandatory and optional.

1: Personal Data collected for creating a profile in order to apply for a posted job vacancy. 

i. Mandatory Info: This is the minimum information required from the candidate to fill-in, in order to be contained in his/her cv when/if he/she submits it to an employer:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Date of Birth (displayed as age in the cv)
  • Desired occupation Field
  • Desired Region to work
  • Language(s) possessed
  • Level of possessed language(s) 

ii: Non-Mandatory information: This is information submitted by the candidate, only if he/she wants to include it in the CV when he/she submits it to the employer. They include information typically found on CVs.

  • Photo upload
  • Interested in Full time/part time work 
  • Date on which candidate is available to start work
  • Free-text box with any additional info regarding desired work
  • Past work experience: Occupational Field/Profession, Total duration of work experience, Type of past work experience (Full time/part time/internship), free-text box with any additional info regarding past work experience
  • Educational level (from primary to tertiary), institution name/place, certificate degree/title, place, Period of study, free-text box with any additional details regarding education
  • Computer skills level
  • EU valid driving license, types of driving license (learning, normal, professional)
  • Other talents and interests.

2: Personal Data collected for Verification/support purposes: These data are never displayed on a CV nor are communicated to any third-party. They are collected for candidates’ verification and provision of technical support and are only accessible by the administrators of the HelpRefugeesWork. They contain mandatory and non-mandatory information.

i: Mandatory verification Information: Those data are required in order to verify that a candidate is eligible to use the services of HelpRefugeesWork platform. The collected data are: Alien Registration Card (ARC) number, Date of Recognition Letter or issuance and expiration dates of Residence Permit. 

ii: Non mandatory Information: Those data are: phone number, district of residence and they are provided by the Candidate in order to optimize technical support services, and dissemination activities of the platform.

3: We also collect information about you that is not personal information. For example, we may collect data relating to your activity on our websites (including IP addresses, login-logout times, last access time) via tracking technologies such as cookies, or we may collect information from you in response to a survey. We use this information to report statistics, analyze trends, administer our services, diagnose problems and target and improve the quality of our products and services. Users can have access to this information by using the “Contact Us” form of the website while logged in. Upon receipt of such request, HelpRefugeesWork will accommodate your request within 24 hours.

2. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

No personal data will be disclosed to any third party. Considering the closed design of the platform, any personal information stored will not be subject to indexing by search engines, thus protecting the privacy of the candidates.

Candidates are required to confirm that they consent to convey the personal information contained in their CV in case they proceed with applying for work. Candidates are solely responsible for deciding if and when the personal information contained in their profile information will be conveyed to employers, through the submission of an application for a job. 

All personal data submitted by Candidates are not visible to anyone but the Candidate itself and the employer they select to contact. By making their profile information available to a certain employer for purposes of applying for job vacancy posted on the website, the Candidates agree to the disclosure of such information under the present Terms of Use and assume responsibility for disclosing that personal Data.

Candidates are required to carefully review each and every personal data they have entered in the Platform before applying for work through the Platform.

3.  RIGHT TO INSPECTION

HelpRefugeeWork reserves the right to inspect the User's personal data for the purpose of technical optimization.

4.  DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

a. DEACTIVATION OF USER PROFILE

The Users have the right to delete their account at any time. In the case of deleting an account, the service provider will delete the User’s account information immediately. Back-up copies are retained οn the database of the web hosting provider for 90 days before being permanently deleted. By deleting their account, the legal relationship between Users and the Platform, governed by the present Terms of Use, is terminated.

b. RIGHT TO ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA.

Users have the right to receive a copy of the personal data held on HelpRefugeesWork in order to check that we are lawfully processing it, by using the “Contact Us” form of the website, while logged in. Upon receipt of such request, HelpRefugeesWork will accommodate your request within 24 hours.

c. RIGHT TO OBJECT TO PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA and TO WITHDRAW CONSENT FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

Users have the right to withdraw their consent for the processing their personal data at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.  Users have the right of restriction of processing and objection to processing that is likely to cause or is causing damage or distress, prevention of processing for direct marketing, objection to decisions being taken by automated means for the processing of their Personal Data, at any time, by using the “Contact Us” form of the website while logged in. Upon receipt of such request, HelpRefugeesWork will process your request within 24 hours.

d. RIGHT TO CORRECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Users have the right to modify any or all of the information they provided, at any time. 

5.   COMPLAINT MECHANISM
