The Occupational Therapy Programme provides students with an extensive understanding of the importance of evaluation and the application of treatment as a tool for growth, recovery or sustainability of living and work skills to individuals (children and adults) with physical, mental or cognitive disabilities. The Occupational Therapist intervenes and adjusts the environment of the individual through means and suitable auxiliary equipment that will enable the individual to improve the living conditions and generally quality of life.
The Occupational Therapy Program of the European University of Cyprus
is pleased to invite you to attend the "Needs Assessment and Vocational
Skills Training for Refugees and Asylum Seekers" training/seminars held
as part of the Clinical Practice of the Occupational Therapy students .
This program will be focused on assessing the particular occupational
needs of the participants, identifying their interests and skills and
providing them with the opportunity to enhance their vocational skills.
The training/seminars will take place every Thursday from 9:00 to 15:00, February through June, at the Nicosia Municipality Multifunctional Foundation in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The language of the training/seminars will be Greek or English.
The participation in the training/seminars will be free of charge and all participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
No pre-registration is needed.
